A huge amount of gold was promised to him for this killing but gold was nothing compared with all the jewels and treasures this man was having. "About fucking time to get rich" the assassin thought with a quick passing smile. His presence was impossible to detect, a skilled stealth master that was now stepping forward like a shadow with murderous intend. He took one step, then another one and a third one... CRRRACK! A swift loud noise like when the ice is breaking on top of water. A freezing trap was triggered and the assassin was instantly frozen, all the way up until his neck. He couldn't move an inch, only his head was struggling and nervously pulling from left to right. All his struggle was in vain , the ice took large bites in his flesh, avoiding to touch any vital organs. This was a special crafted ice trap, tweaked in such way to not instantly kill it's victim, but slowly and painfully squeeze the life out, with it's cold embrace. The assassin was screaming in agony but the man in his front, "his target", didn't even turned to see what happened, instead he continued to carefully inspect a green gem. The screams were getting louder and desperate when the man put down the gem and slowly reached for a drawer under the table. He grabbed something in there, a weird object that looked like it was engineered by dwarf master crafters and slowly turned to see the ice trapped prisoner. He pointed that object to the agonising assassin's face and with a deep calm voice, he said: - I call this invention of mine, a "boom stick pistol". BOOOM! He shot the assassin in the face, spreading blood and flesh remains all over the place. - They never learn... the man said while turning back to his table full of sparkling jewels.
